Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress as well as a producer and director. She works in television and film. Her career in acting began at the theatre. She then appeared in numerous television shows as well as independent and mainstream movies. Her most well-known roles were as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's huge The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered reviews, and she also won a lot of awards. In 1995 she was the first actress to make her debut with The Tempest as Ariel. In addition to Broadway's Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. With regards to her work in the film industry the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. On television, her part in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
