Awkwafina
Awkwafina was an American actress and musician. Her first release was hilarious, intelligently composed rap songs that addressed topics like race as well as sexual orientation. Later, she broadened her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first music experience. She was a trumpet player. After a classical and jazz education She delved into hip-hop as a teen. While in her schooling, she specialized in women's studies and journalism. She also studied Mandarin for a while in Beijing. After graduating, it wasn't until that she shifted her focus to music. Following her viral success via the Internet the My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. This album also featured popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour NYC Bitche$. The track that was the last one to be closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, which was published in 2015. The singer decided to make acting as a profession after having completed her two previous ventures as a musician and author. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2. Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018 she was able to land major roles in a variety of high-profile movies like Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
