Her father used to be the owner of The Olympian, a Washington-based newspaper. When she graduated of Tallahassee's Florida's high school she started her studies in Boston University. Later, the school transferred her to Rhodes College and University of Florida. From the time she was little the passion she had for performing arts led to training for both dancing and acting. She moved to LA after dropping out of school to pursue an acting career that was professional. Lucy's Piano, a 2006 short film, was her first film. She played a major role as a character in 17 Again in 2009. Then, she appeared as Alice McKee playing the main role in fantasy action movie Blood: The Last Vampire. Her most notable TV appearance occurred in 2009 when she played the main character in Kings. She has played important roles on other television shows like Terra Nova Go On or Selfie. Recently, she played one of the leading characters in the drama about families series titled A Million Little Things and a supporting part in the show titled 13 Reasons Why.
